Poor Affordance
I tried to resize the menu list by clicking and dragging on the "grabber", only to find I was dragging the actual grabber image off my browser and downloading it to my desktop. Hah Microsoft, I have your little grabber image and am not afraid to use it correctly. Apparently they made it work like button -- a single click will show or hide the menu items. Perhaps a twisty arrow button would have been a better choice.
