Banner blindness on CNN
Good example of banner blindness hiding important content. The yellow and black banner at the top is trying to emphasize CNN live and get you to go there. I thought is was a banner and never really noticed it until after several times to cnn. It would probably perform better if it was more contextual in design with the site.
